Jason is a three-time Grapplers Quest champion, NAGA champion, and a former Division I wrestler for West Virginia University. He began wrestling at age 7 and continued wrestling at the highest level through college. Jason was an assistant wrestling coach at Morgantown High School, and Director of Operations for Advantage MMA in Pennsauken, NJ before opening Brazen Boxing & MMA.
Jason is the creator and founder of Sargus Strength Systems (TM), where elite athletes take their conditioning, weight cutting, and rehydration to the next level for optimum competitive performance. Jason handles strength and conditioning as well as a career management for the mixed martial arts fighters represented by The Brazen Sports Agency. A mixed martial arts fighter himself, through dedication to his rehabilitation program and to the strength and conditioning program he developed for himself, within six months of cervical spinal surgery, Jason competed in and won the 2009 Grapplers Quest U.S. Nationals of Grappling. Jason also is the first and only athlete ever to compete in mixed martial arts with a synthetic cervical disc. In addition, Jason has a background in secondary education and business, including specialties in engineering, cost estimating and energy analysis. Jason holds a B.A. in English from West Virginia University, and completed two years of post-graduate education at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas in secondary education while teaching reading and language arts to fifth graders at Gray Elementary School in Las Vegas, including teaching special needs students. Jason worked as a cost estimator and safety inspector for Wells Cargo Construction in Las Vegas while transitioning into the engineering field, and subsequently served as engineering support at the Aberdeen Proving Grounds in Aberdeen, Maryland on the $1.25 B base relocation and closure program. Jason then came to Philadelphia to work as an energy analyst for Real Win Win, servicing clients such as Target, CVS, and JC Penney to analyze energy use, and develop and implement plans for reducing energy consumption and costs. In 2010, Jason returned to his core passion as Director of Operations at Advantage MMA, where he spearheaded dynamic growth of the MMA program, and trained and competed in mixed martial arts himself. Having lived and trained in Las Vegas for over five years, and having brought his knowledge base to Philadelphia, Jason has developed both a keen eye for talent and relationships with top fighting promotions and some of the best trainers in mixed martial arts, including Tony Fryklund, Ken Hahn, and Fernando Bernardino. He has trained in some of the nation’s elite mixed martial arts facilities, including Extreme Couture, and Round 1 Boxing.
Boxing Coach / MMA Striking Coach
Walt was the 1979 South New Jersey Golden Gloves Champion in his weight class and has been a talented and engaging boxing coach for students of all levels, from novices to pros, with over three decades of boxing experience. Walt provides pure traditional boxing instruction and intensive boxing conditioning training, as well as skilled striking insights for our MMA fighters.
Walt also has real-world law enforcement experience, having attended the Philadelphia Police Academy and currently works for the SEPTA Transit Police.
Walt is a crucial member of the Brazen Boxing & MMA competition team, and is a fixture at every fight supporting our amateur and professional fighters in the locker room and in their corners. With his decades of fight experience, unshakable calm, and confidence, Walt is a true ace in the hole for Brazen fighters.
Women’s Boxing & Boxing Conditioning Coach
Jessica has been training in boxing for over fourteen years, having begun boxing in law school, and is the 2012 Mid-Atlantic Association novice 141 lb champion. In June 2014, Jessica was elected to the Board of Directors of the Middle Atlantic Association of USA Boxing, and has begun to serve a four-year term as the Secretary of the Association.
Jessica also trains in submission grappling, muay thai, and Brazilian jiu jitsu, and at the age of 36 made her amateur MMA debut. She is currently undefeated with a 2-0 amateur MMA record (1 submission, 1 unanimous decision).
A longtime fitness enthusiast who began instructing cardio fitness classes while an undergraduate student at Williams College, Jessica remains a competitive athlete who competes in sprint triathlons and road races.
Jessica is a practicing attorney who graduated as valedictorian of Skaneateles High School, graduated magna cum laude from Williams College, and received her law degree from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. Jessica has been practicing law for the past eleven years in Philadelphia at one of the city’s oldest law firms, where she has represented Fortune 100 clients, developed expertise in contract law, and honed her research and negotiating skills. Jessica’s professional experience, legal expertise, and research skills as well as her boxing and fitness instruction experience are formidable assets to Brazen Boxing & MMA, and to the fighters represented by The Brazen Sports Agency, where Jessica is CEO and Lead Agent. Due to her professional experience, legal expertise, and research skills as well as her understanding of the sports of boxing and MMA from the inside as a competitor and student, Jessica also specializes in performing due diligence research on fighters in the matchmaking and fight strategy development processes, as well as scouting new talent for the Agency.
Children’s Martial Arts Coach
Bobby comes to Brazen Boxing & MMA with a Black Belt in Chinese Goju and a Blue Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Along with his karate expertise, Bobby also is an accomplished wrestler and submission grappler. A certified personal trainer, Bobby also excels in strength and conditioning training for practitioners of martial arts.
Assistant Boxing Coach
Victor Vasquez, an immensely popular local fighter, has a wonderful story of grit and perseverance. Several years ago, after being struck by a car when he was on his motorcycle, Vic had to battle back from the chance that he might not have been able to walk again, much less fight. Since then, Vic has earned a reputation as “the Blood and Guts” Warrior of Philadelphia, and has been in many memorable fights over the years.

Isaiah Wise is an amateur boxer with a 9-2 record counting 4 technical KO’s.
No Gi Grappling Coach
Chaz began training in various Martial Arts at a very young age. He has remained committed to practicing and teaching in areas such as self-defense and physical conditioning. Chaz is a Purple Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and has medaled in the Adult Super Heavyweight Advanced No Gi Divisions under grappling promotions: Good Fight, U.S. Grappling, Grappler’s Quest, and the Adult Super Heavyweight Purple Belt Division in the No Gi Pan-Ams. Chaz also competes in the heavyweight division in MMA with a 3-0 Amateur record.
Chaz works as a Civil Engineer for the city of Philadelphia. He is a graduate of Temple University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in the same field.
Chaz remains active in the Philadelphia community where he has spent ample time as a volunteer coach for disadvantaged youth. He aims to build upon his current teaching experience by adding value to Brazen Boxing and MMA where he instructs No Gi Grappling.
