Brazen Fight Team Goes 3-0 at Pinnacle Fight Championship!

Paul Felder Brazen Boxing and MMA

Paul Felder (3-0) and Head Coach Jason Sargus celebrate Felder's victory over Khama Worthy (1-2) December 29, 2013

Brazen Boxing & MMA’s fight team descended on Canonsburg, PA last weekend and made a definitive statement as they dominated all three of their opponents.

Paul Felder Brazen Boxing and MMA

Paul dedicated this victory to our muay thai coach and friend, Ken Perry

Pro MMA fighter Paul “the Irish Dragon” Felder improved to 3-0 with his third straight knockout victory as a pro when he defeated tough Pittsburgh Fight Club fighter Khama “Deathstar” Worthy (1-2) in just 70 seconds.  After trading early punches and kicks with Worthy, Paul began to overpower Worthy in the clinch, then took the fight home with vicious knees to Worthy’s head followed by a flurry of punches to the grounded fighter before the fight was stopped. With this crowd-stunning performance, Paul earned “Knockout of the Night” honors from Combat Sports Insurance.

Anthony Terrell Smith - Brazen Boxing and MMA

Also earning honors from Combat Sports Insurance was Anthony “The Animal” Smith, who garnered “Submission of the Night” by defeating Chris Deep by rear naked choke just over a minute and a half into the second round.  Anthony, who recently lost a controversial split decision to Albert Alvarez, once again looked composed, powerful, and skilled in this victory over a very game opponent, and all indications are that he will take the momentum from this win as he turns pro this spring.

Johnson Jajoute - Brazen Boxing and MMA

Johnson bears down on Borowski

Brazen Boxing & MMA’s own 2012 Mid-Atlantic Association boxing champion, Johnson Jajoute, fought Rick Borowski in dominating fashion.  Johnson looked to be putting on a boxing clinic early in the first round while avoiding all punches and stuffing Borowski’s takedown attempt, but midway through the round the fighters clinched up and Borowski appeared to take a knee to the groin. He was given five minutes to try and recover, but since he wasn’t able to continue, the fight was ruled a No Contest (accidental foul).

You can still see Brazen’s fight team in action as they continue their very active winter season. Next up is pro boxer and fan favorite, Vic Vasquez (15-7-1, 7 KO’s), who will be the co-main event taking on Esteban Rodriguez (6-4-1, 1 KO) in a Lightweight bout scheduled for six rounds at Harrah’s Philadelphia on January 26, 2013.  Then, on February 1, 2013, pro MMA fighter Tom Backman (2-0) travels to Morgantown, WV looking to go to 3-0 following his last submission victory over a very tough and skilled James Carrow.  On February 2, 2013, Asylum Fight League 175 lb amateur champion, Brian Collins, will make his pro MMA debut as he takes on Alfred Alo in the CFFC Championships 19 in Atlantic City.  And hot on the heels of those fights, a slew of Brazen’s MMA fighters will be competing in CFFC’s first Pennsylvania event on February 8, 2013 at the Valley Forge Casino, led by pros Paul Felder and Evan “Kid Peligroso” Chmieleski, the Locked in the Cage 135lb Champion.  Brazen faithful, we hope to see you there!
